Why would she think her song would be stupid? Perhaps her self esteem needs to be built up with kind words & a tender, gentle touch.
Or maybe she just has a healthy sense of humor? (The author is, after all, a married adult.) My preschooler, while proud of his own songs, will be the first to tell you how ridiculously silly (or, one might even say, "stupid") some of them are...and that's the whole point for him; it's fun! 🙂
